A day of golf, bonding and shared experiences brought families together on the fairways at Impian Golf & Country Club.
Kuala Lumpur, 1 July 2026 – MST Golf successfully hosted its Parent & Child Golf Day at Impian Golf & Country Club on 20 June 2026, bringing together 36 parent-and-child pairs for a memorable day of friendly competition, meaningful connections, and quality family time through the game of golf.
Designed to celebrate the unique bond between parents and their children, the event saw parents-child duos take on the course in a 2-Ball Texas Scramble Stableford format over 18 holes. More than just a golf tournament, the event aimed to create opportunities for families to spend time together, strengthen relationships, and create lasting memories both on and off the course.
The day began with registration and lunch before participants teed off at 1:30 PM. Throughout the round, players enjoyed a variety of engaging activities, including Longest Drive and Nearest to Pin challenges, as well as refreshments at the halfway hut hosted by MST Golf Arena. Beyond the competition, families took part in light-hearted question-and-answer activities that encouraged parents and children to learn more about one another. A special Message of Gratitude board also gave each parent-child pair the chance to write heartfelt notes to each other during the day, creating a meaningful keepsake to exchange and take home after the event.
Competition on the course was closely contested, with several teams separated by only a single point. Emerging as champions were Ng Ek Leong and Ng Kee Siang, who secured victory with 42 points on countback. Dato Hamid M Sidek and Adam Hamid finished as first runners-up with an equally impressive 42 points, while Zailani Khuzaimah and Zairul Afnan Zailani claimed second runners-up honours with 41 points on countback.
Novelty challenge winners were also recognised during the prize presentation ceremony. The Longest Drive title was claimed with a remarkable drive of 261 metres, while the Nearest to Pin winner finished just 4.1 metres from the hole. Both winners received a 7-Day Volkswagen Driving Experience.
The celebration continued in the evening with an exciting lucky draw featuring 15 prizes, including premium golf equipment, golf watches, vouchers, exclusive golf bags, and private suite experiences at MST Golf Arena. Standout prizes such as the all new TaylorMade Spider Putter, a Limited-Edition Cobra PUMA Championship Staff Bag, RM3,000 PUMA voucher, and a Garmin Approach S50 added to the excitement, bringing the day to a memorable close for participants.
The Parent & Child Golf Day reflects MST Golf’s ongoing commitment to growing the game by creating experiences that make golf more meaningful, inclusive, and enjoyable. By bringing families together through golf, the event demonstrated how the sport can serve as a platform for connection, learning, and shared experiences beyond competition.
MST Golf extends its appreciation to all participants, partners, and supporters who contributed to the success of the event. The Group looks forward to organising more golf experiences that continue to inspire and enrich lives through the game.
