3 August 2013 – MST Golf has signed a 3-year extension with Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia as official retailer for the tournament held at KLGCC. This will include sponsorship of premium Wilson golf balls for the range and player services supplied by MST Golf Tech Shop. A dedicated marquee is being constructed adjacent to the second green of the East course to support retail sales throughout the duration of the event and will feature a wide range of golf merchandise including Nike apparels, which have been named official apparel for the tournament. “We are extremely proud and excited to have extended our support of this global Women’s golf tournament” said KP Low, Managing Director of MST Golf. “We shall be actively promoting the event throughout our retail network and to our ilovegolf members in the lead up to the event” he continued.
The fourth edition on the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia promises to be every bit as spectacular as the 2012 event, which saw current Rolex Women’s World ranking No.1 Imbee Park triumph to record her their career win and her first victory on Malaysian soil.
With the total prize purse increased to U$2 million, the second increase in as many years and the largest prize fund in the tournament’s history, Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia will once again bring the very best players in the women’s game back to the spectacular East course at Kuala Lumpur Golf and country club to compete in the 72-hole no-cut event over four days from 10th to 13th October 2013.
