Petaling Jaya, 8 October 2026 – MST Golf Group Berhad (“MST Golf”) today announced the resounding success of the MST Golf Community Golf Day at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort. The day brought together 116 golfers of all ages, genders and skill levels, alongside international brand partners, in a celebration of the game’s inclusive spirit.
Anchored in MST Golf’s “Let’s Golf” philosophy of building community through action and access, the Community Golf Day continues to grow. Last year, MST Golf hosted five such events across Malaysia, engaging over 500 golfers. This year’s edition builds on that momentum, strengthening the bonds within Malaysia’s golfing community.

Golfers and brand partners gathered at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort for the MST Community Golf Day 2026
Themed around the national Suku Suku Separuh healthy plate concept (a quarter carbohydrates, a quarter protein and half fruits and vegetables), the day drew a simple parallel between golf and nutrition. Just as a winning round demands balance and smart decisions on every shot, a healthy life begins with balance on every plate.
Champions on the Course
On the greens, the competition was spirited from the first tee to the last putt. Bryan Tan had a standout day, claiming the Longest Drive with a 275-metre strike, which won him a TaylorMade Seasonal Limited Edition Golf Bag worth RM2,990. Playing off a handicap of 8, he also took the Men’s Champion title with 42 points on countback (“OCB”), earning a RM300 MST Golf voucher and a RM1,500 SUN DAY RED voucher.

Healthy Choices on and off the Course

Small bites and refreshments prepared by MST Golf Arena were served to golfers at the halfway huts
Healthy living took centre stage throughout the day. MST Golf Arena, MST Golf’s golf entertainment destination that brings indoor golf, dining and retail together under one roof, served up healthy small bites designed to prove that balanced eating can be as delicious as it is practical. Golfers also left with goodie bags packed with an ADIDAS golf towel, TaylorMade TP5 golf balls, a WAAC cap, a TaylorMade City Tech multi-pocket pouch, Tour Tees, Cutter & Buck socks and a RM50 MST Golf voucher.
Doing Good, One Shot at a Time
Adding a purposeful touch to the day, golfers’ scorecards also gave back to the community. Each par added RM10, every birdie RM30 and every eagle RM50. Together, the players contributed RM5,000 and MST Golf doubled the amount to RM10,000 in support of Pasar Grub’s FoodSmart Kids @ School programme.
Pasar Grub is an accredited social enterprise that educates and nourishes communities. Its FoodSmart Kids @ School programme, run with the Faculty of Food Science and Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia, brings practical health and nutrition learning to local primary and secondary schools through health talks, interactive games and healthy meals. It helps turn balanced eating concepts such as Suku Suku Separuh into everyday food choices.
The Community Golf Day proudly reflects the Group’s MST Golf CARES sustainability framework, particularly the Empowering Community Engagement pillar, which harnesses golf as a powerful platform to strengthen community bonds, empower individuals and amplify positive social impact through its #GolfForGood initiative. It also underscores MST Golf’s continued investment in building a thriving, inclusive and meaningful golf ecosystem in Malaysia and the region.

By bringing the Suku Suku Separuh message to the greens, we hope to show that healthy living starts with small, balanced choices and that every swing can help create a better start for children. We are grateful to our players and partners for making this possible.”
