MST Golf Arena hosted a golf experiential learning day with Dignity for Children Foundation at its indoor golf facility at Tropicana Gardens Mall, which gave 29 students the opportunity to experience golf for the first time.
The students, ranging from 16 – 17, participated in various exciting activities throughout the event, including golf coaching sessions by professional instructors from The Golf Lab to learn basic swing skills and putting, a golf knowledge session to learn more about the game, equipment, and relevance to life, and mini-golf games such as balloon pop, bowling, and darts to put their newfound skills in action.
The students also enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by MST Golf Arena and continued swinging away at the indoor golf simulation bays until 2 PM, filled with fun, laughter, and new experiences. One student shared after the event that he discovered a talent for golf, while another found the experience to be humbling, unique, and exciting. Some even described their visit to MST Golf Arena as their favorite field trip to date.
A spokesperson from Dignity remarked, “Thank you so much again for hosting the experiential learning session! The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves today. Thank you for bridging the gap between golf and the community. The hospitality of Arena’s staff is truly commendable.”
MST Golf Group is on a mission to build a more sustainable golf culture and community together. This event was held with several objectives, including spreading the golfing culture to youths, fostering diversity and inclusion, and leveraging MST Golf’s resources to create golfing opportunities for marginalised communities. It was a sustainable event that gave back to the community and promoted golf as a sport among youths who may lack the usual opportunities to experience golf.
