MST Golf rallied more than 300 golfers across with a shared love for the game and mission to support community awareness efforts.
Penang, 16 July 2025 – MST Golf’s Community Golf Day came to a meaningful close with its final leg in the Northern region at Penang Golf Resort on 12 July, where more than 100 golfers came together to support a greater cause. The event recorded an impressive 18,916 metres driven as part of the Drive Out Cancer Challenge, raising RM9,458 in Penang alone. Across the Central, Southern and Northern regions, a total of 66,518 metres was driven, contributing to a combined fundraising amount of RM33,259, inclusive of an additional RM1,207 donated directly by players in support of the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM).

This inaugural Community Golf Day fulfilled its objective of bringing together golfers, brand partners and customers in a shared celebration of the game. As Malaysia’s leading golf retailer, the event formed part of the Group’s 35th anniversary celebration, reinforcing its commitment to “35 Years of Growing Together” with the community. It also reflects MST Golf’s ongoing efforts to better connect with customers, strengthen brand relationships and give back through purposeful initiatives.
Each event offered a well-rounded experience that included a friendly round of golf, on-course challenges, engaging brand activations, sustainability awareness and community giveback in a relaxed and inclusive setting. The Community Golf Day is closely aligned with the Group’s MST Golf C.A.R.E.S. sustainability framework, particularly the Empowering Community Engagement pillar, which harnesses golf as a platform to strengthen community bonds, empower individuals and enhance positive social impact through its #GolfForGood initiative.

All proceeds from the Drive Out Cancer Challenge will be channelled to NCSM to support community awareness programmes and outreach activities, including free cancer screenings for underserved communities across Klang Valley, Johor and Penang set to be held from September to November 2025.
The Northern edition concluded with Aarjun Rudra Anilarasu (handicap 6) taking home the Men’s Champion title with 39 points OCB, while Miki Khor Hooi Sze (handicap 11) secured the Ladies Champion title with 38 points OCB. Participating brands and partners for the Northern Community Golf Day included HONMA, PING, Garmin, Under Armour, WAAC, Disney, MST Golf Arena, Dyson, Hydro Flask, ZUS Coffee and NCSM.
