Job Summary

The position of an Assistant Warehouse Supervisor involves handling various warehousing tasks such as receiving, picking, storing, and preparing goods for delivery. The role requires physical fitness to manage bulky items, a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines, and basic communication skills for effective teamwork. The role also requires an individual to monitor, train and lead a team of warehouse operator on routine work.

Responsibilities

  • To receive incoming goods & stock return.
  • To transfer incoming goods or stock return to varies section for further process.
  • Incoming goods and stock return – to verify & confirm the commodity or content of each carton.
  • Incoming goods and stock return – to issue HRDS or HRDO if found goods discrepancies.
  • To lead, monitor and train staff on labelling, tagging, picking & packing process.
  • Outgoing delivery – to ensure shipment is ready by end of the day for the following morning loading.
  • Outgoing delivery – to ensure correct carton ID, receiver address, AWB & shipping document is attached with cargo.
  • Outgoing shipment by courier service – to verify the gross weight of each carton of goods.
  • Outgoing delivery – to scan & generate loading list for each outgoing shipment.
  • To manage inventory control & support stock take.
  • To lead a team of warehouse operator on routine work.
  • To maintain & ensure warehouse cleanliness and tidiness.
  • To ensure good maintenance of working equipment and tools.

Qualifications / Skills Needed

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Physically fit to carry bulky and heavy goods preferred (Not more than 15kgs – 20kgs).
  • Strong sense of urgency and responsibility to meet deadlines and complete tasks promptly.
  • Experience with system entry such as Computer or handheld device usage/barcode scanning system (added Advantage).
  • Good communication skills in English to understand instructions and interact with coworkers.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment.
